A few of us from Slack are joining 5,000+ participants in the Annual Heatwave Beach Volleyball Challenge - serving up funds to help end childhood cancer and build a new SickKids.Right now, over 800 children are being treated for cancer at SickKids Hospital, many fighting for their lives. Cancer is the leading cause of disease-related death among Canadian children, and rates keep rising - 320 new cases are diagnosed at SickKids every year. Yet the hospital's clinical facilities are nearly 70 years old, and today one of the biggest battles at SickKids is against the limits of an aging building.
