I'm Fundraising in Support of SickKids!
I have always believed, and still do, that every child deserves a chance to grow up and see what amazing things they can do in this world. I love kids, and there is always a warm place in my heart for them. My all-time goal is to one day become a mom and raise some amazing children. I know that if I were a mom who had to watch her kid struggle, I too would have wanted people to help, and would have appreciated every small act that someone did to help my kid. I am a twelfth-grade student at Nantyr Shores Secondary School, and in my social sciences class, we have our final project coming up. For this project, we will be choosing a place or someone who we are passionate about helping them and we will come up with a plan of how we can help to make a change. I decided to go with Sick Kids Hospital because I believe that without this amazing place and the staff that works there, many kids wouldn't have had the opportunity to grow old and follow their dreams. I believe that even a small act can make a big change, and that is my goal. I am creative and good with designs and computers, but I am not very good with hospitals or medical stuff; therefore, I cannot help by treating them or doing reaserch but what i can do is take a minute on my computer to make some flayers and some posts online to help raise money, and this is exactly what i am going to do, to raise money and hopefully manage to make some kids happy, especially during the holiday season. I truly hope that I will make a change and that I will be able to make some families happy.
I hope that with the help of the community and the world, we will manage to make a change.
So I ask that you, as well, take a minute of your time to donate money to help save some lives. Every dollar helps; even the smallest amount can make the biggest difference.
Let's help bring some smiles to those who weren't able to smile for a long time.
Thank you for supporting this means more than you think!

The smallest amount brings the biggest smile
Sunday 16th NovMy name is Gaya, and I am a twelfth-grade student. In my social sciences class, we were presented with our final project for the semester. For the project, we are choosing a place or a group that means something to us and that we are passionate about. We think of ways in which we can make a change and how that contributes to society. I choose to start a fundraiser for Sick Kids, which is the number one paediatric hospital in the world! The place focuses on helping children and families, and they also conduct research there. The hospital relies on fundraising and donations a lot, and with people helping, they manage to give kids a chance. Something I stand with is that every child deserves a chance. A chance to grow up, to succeed, to dream, and to be happy. I am doing this because I know that if I were one of the kids there, hearing that a generous person helped heal me, I would be thrilled, or if I were a mom waiting for her child to be better, I would want someone to be there for me. By doing this fundraiser, I am not only helping raise money but also raising awareness. The Sick Kids Hospital, which is located in Toronto, has helped many kids AND people around the world. They even helped with research and a cure for COVID-19! And they not only help kids around the world, but they also teach in other countries to ensure that kids from all over the world get a better life. I am asking that you take a few seconds to help me help the kids. Even the smallest amount can make the biggest change, and together we can help bring lots of smiles back. Please share this around to hopefully increase awareness. Thank you so much for any support!
