STRIKES FOR TIKES

Hi there! We are Boris and Nicole Gubo, and this is our son, Anthony. Anthony was born shortly after midnight on March 17th, 2019. What we were hoping would be the most amazing day of our lives turned into one of our worst nightmares as there were complications with Anthony's birth. Our local hospital couldn't provide the lifesaving care that Anthony needed when he was born, and he was rushed to SickKids Hospital immediately.

Anthony was a patient at SickKids for the first month of his life. The doctors and nurses in the neonatal intensive care unit employed state-of-the-art treatments and technologies to make sure Anthony was able to get the care that he needed, and during this time the staff went above and beyond to provide us with all of the support that we needed. It became clear to us that this was true of every single patient and family that walked through the hospital's doors. 

We are happy to say that Anthony is home with us now but his need for care at SickKids continues to this day. We are so fortunate to have received such excellent care at SickKids, and we saw first hand the incredible support that they offer to families just like ours, and because of this we have created Strlkes for Tikes. Strikes for Tikes is a charity bowling event that helps raise funds SickKids hospital.

SickKids Hospital saved Anthony's life, and they have saved countless lives since, and we hope you will join us in giving back to this incredible hospital that has given us, and so many other families, so much.
