About SickKids AI (SKAI)
SKAI is a bold, hospital-wide commitment to integrating AI across care, research, education, and operations. SKAI includes:
- AI Service: a core team of experts to help develop, assess, monitor, and scale AI solutions across the enterprise
- AI Discovery: a research arm to generate new knowledge and find new AI solutions to enhance clinical care and operations
- AI Community: a network of AI experts, learners, and contributors collaborating to advance AI use and literacy among staff
This flagship program will generate the institutional focus and momentum to realize the potential of AI to enhance health-care quality and advance new frontiers in paediatric research and teaching. We envision a hospital where AI quietly works as a member of the team, identifying hidden risks, predicting deterioration, streamlining operations, and freeing up clinicians to focus on what matters most: caring for kids.

The SKAI Corporate Coalition is a fundraising initiative that focuses on a shared commitment to shaping the future of children’s health through responsible innovation.
