CURTIS' FIGHT AGAINST NEUROBLASTOMA

Curtis (CJ) Chow was a cheerful and hardworking boy with a fierce fighting spirit who loved karate, video games and his family. After being diagnosed with Neuroblastoma at the age of four, he was determined to live as normal a life as possible and beat his illness. He was successful at that for eight years but sadly, CJ passed away in July 2011 at the age of 12.

Inspired by his determination and compassion for others, the Curtis Chow Memorial Fund was launched to carry out Curtis' final wish: to help other children suffering from Neuroblastoma and childhood cancers. 

In the past 13 years, schools, clubs, friends and family have worked together and raised over $500,000 towards innovative research projects. Critical advancements have been made in developing new tools to detect relapses and new personalized therapies - including nuclear medicine - have been the focus to treat children more effectively.
