I'm Fundraising in Support of SickKids!
My name is Zoiya Dhillon, and I am so excited to share our story. A while ago, I was dealing with Superior Mesenteric Artery Syndrome (SMAS), a very rare and serious digestive condition. I spent my recovery time on Unit 7B at SickKids. The doctors, nurses, and staff there took incredible care of me when I needed it most.
During my healing journey, art became my safe place and my favorite way to express myself. Now that I am better, I want to give back to the hospital that saved my life. I have partnered with my amazing grandpa, Kuldip Dhillon to create and sell our own paintings and crafts. Together, we launched our small business called Hearts and Art!
Every single dollar we raise goes directly to support SickKids Foundation. Specifically, we want our donated money to go to Unit 7B to fund new equipment, toys, and activities and also to help diagnose and better treat GI conditions like SMAS and similar gastrointestinal diseases. We want to help make the hospital stay a little brighter for other kids who are going through a hard time.
