Dear Family & Friends,
Moments in life guide us, live within us, and take us to different places. We're writing this with a heart full of gratitude and a deep sense of humility, having just come through a time in our lives that we never thought we'd face. SickKids is a place where everything is uncertain, where hope feels fragile, but where miracles happen every day. What carried us through the darkest moments of our lives was the village that held our hearts. Through every breath. Every tear. Every worry. Every prayer. We met world renowned doctors, surgeons, nurses, and support workers who gave their all to ensure that every chance at healing was taken.
What we learned at SickKids was something we will carry with us forever: the power of community. People came together to offer their support, their prayers, their energy, and their love. It’s that same spirit of unity that gives us the strength to ask for help today for the children and families who need it most.
Every single child facing illness deserves a chance to heal. But the journey is long, and it’s filled with countless obstacles—both medical and emotional. Today, on Niall's 5th birthday, we would like to honour Niall's wish: "to help children feel better, go home, and play". We would also like to celebrate his own courage, strength, resilience and perseverance, that has been unequivocally remarkable.
The funds we raise will go directly to providing life-saving treatments, research, vital resources, and support for families who need it during their most challenging times.
Every donation, no matter how small, makes a difference. Your contribution can help give these children and families the opportunity to grow, to laugh, and to live. It’s a chance to turn the uncertainty they’re facing into hope.
