Remembering Katy

Katy Driver Radhakrishnan

Surrounded by family, Katy Driver Radhakrishnan passed away at the age of 86 on July 3, 2025, at Sunnybrook Hospital. Predeceased by her late husband Radha, brother Jimmy and sister-in-law Anoo. Survived by her soul sister Betty Madan, children Meena Steckly (Richard) and Sam (Johanna), and grandchildren Maya, Sara, Nigel and Sophia. She loved to give and help others – it was her purpose, and it fueled her. We are grateful for her loving parenting, her loyal and engaged friendship, her long career as a pediatrician at Sick Kids and in private practice, and for her amazing networks of “chosen family” and close friends in the Zoroastrian community and beyond. Private funeral, by invitation only. A celebration of life will be announced in time. Arrangements entrusted to Kane-Jerrett Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Hospital for Sick Children or the Zoroastrian Society of Ontario.

Dear Sammy, Meena, Betty and Family, Not only has the community and Toronto lost an exemplary human being, we feel we have lost our Mother, Grandma and our very special friend. She was our favorite doctor, not just for Dina and Yasmin but also for us. When any one of us was not well, the first thing we did was call Katy and she would be at our door step. Katy has been part of our family since we landed in Canada. She's always been by our side and held our hands for all our ups and downs, and also for all our milestones and celebrations. We're so lucky and honored to have had Katy in our lives. She will always live on in our hearts. We love you Katy, you were our Mother Teresa. May your soul rest in peace. Please accept our sincere condolences. With all our love, Shahnaz & Soli.
