JOHN’S 26TH JOINS THE FIGHT AGAINST CHILDHOOD CANCER 💙💪🏼💙
This year, I’m not only celebrating my 26th birthday, but also 18 years in remission from paediatric acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
At 8 years old, I was treated at SickKids with two rounds of chemotherapy and an allogeneic bone marrow transplant in 2009. Because of the incredible care, research, and support I received, I’ve been given the opportunity to grow up, build a life, and celebrate milestones like this one.
For my birthday this year, I want to give back to the hospital and people who helped save my life.
