In memory of Ula

Please help us support SickKids Foundation in memory of Ula.

Donations will be directed to the Substance Use Program and ongoing research within Adolescent Medicine at SickKids.

With your donations, you are helping to help foster more inclusion and education within the hospital communities, their patients and families, and caregivers.

SUBSTANCE USE PROGRAM:

- Assessment and treatment for teens up to 18 years of age.  
- A parent program and support for families or guardians of teens in the program.
- Comprehensive health assessment and medical follow-up as needed.  
- Education about adolescent alcohol and substance use and substance use disorders. 

CareConsult FOR YOUTH SUBSTANCE:

Launched this January 2026, CareConsult for Youth Substance is a program that provides professional-to-professional virtual consultation services for health care professionals (HCPs) working with youth up to 25 years of age who have substance use health needs or substance use disorders.  

ADVOCACY:

Members of our program are involved with local, provincial and national initiatives that involve advocacy for young people and their families who are experiencing difficulties relating to alcohol and other substance use.

It’s not easy being green. A big belated thank you for the support of our ongoing work and the art show in Ula’s honour. Serendipitously, Ula’s frog prints were a great success, hopping off the gallery wall onto the walls of many, and even into her garden! We will continue in our endeavours to create awareness and work for change for young people in Ula’s name and with her art. I’ve had the great privilege of working with her team at Sick Kids and will continue to do so in the interest of protecting and advocating for children. For those interested, we will be doing a second run of framed prints, including more frogs, sometime in the following week.
