In Loving Memory of Alan Turner
Your donation honours Alan's late nephew, Adam Prusznowski's legacy - Adam's Dream Fund, in support of Paediatric Oncology Research and Therapeutic Clown Program.
Alan Saul Turner, born on December 10, 1948, in Glasgow, Scotland, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2026, in Inglewood, Ontario. He was a man with a one-of-a-kind spirit and remarkable, unwavering love, whose life was a testament to the power of family, friendship, kindness, integrity, and respect for others.
Alan was the devoted husband of Esther Turner, with whom he shared a beautiful life filled with laughter, love, and shared dreams. Their bond was a shining example of partnership, built on mutual respect and deep affection. Together, they raised three wonderful children who were the centre of their universe. Alan’s legacy lives on through his beloved daughter Arlene Moshe and son-in-law Rafi Moshe, his son Jonathan Turner and daughter-in-law Michelle Turner, and his daughter Miriam Toste and son-in-law James Toste. Each of them carries a piece of his heart and spirit and will forever cherish the lessons he imparted and the love he so generously shared.
As a proud grandfather, Alan found immense joy in his grandchildren: Benjamin, Jamie, Violet, Daniel, Naomi, Moses, Neshama, Lauren, and Sophie, whom he embraced as his own. His eyes would light up at the mere mention of their names, and he took great pride in watching them grow, celebrating their achievements, and sharing in their dreams. He was their biggest supporter, always ready with a word of encouragement or a gentle nudge in the right direction. The laughter and warmth they shared will be fondly remembered as a testament to the deep bonds of love he nurtured throughout his life.
Alan was not only a devoted family man but also a respected dispatcher and logistics professional. He dedicated his career to ensuring that everything ran smoothly, earning the admiration and respect of both customers and drivers alike. His colleagues knew him as a man of integrity whose one-of-a kind humour and sharp wit brought light to even the most challenging days. Alan had a unique ability to find joy in the mundane, often using sarcasm to diffuse tension and uplift those around him. His quiet strength and unwavering support made him a cherished friend and mentor to many. Beyond his professional life, Alan was a man of deep compassion and kindness. He possessed a remarkable ability to listen and showed his love through acts of service and unwavering support. His generous spirit extended to everyone he encountered, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of those fortunate enough to know him.
Alan is survived by his beloved sister, Hilary Prusznowski, and his brother-in-law, Bernie Davies, who shared countless memories and experiences with him throughout their lives. The bond they shared was one of love and support, and they will carry his memory with them always. His nieces and nephews also held a special place in his heart. Everyone who knew him saw a man of few words but profound action and devotion.
In his final days, Alan received compassionate care from Hospice and Bethell Hospice, where he was treated with kindness, dignity, and respect. The family is profoundly grateful for the support and comfort they received during this difficult time. Special thanks to Vee and Karen from Tender Loving Care, and our deepest gratitude to Sophie for her love, care, and devotion.
As we gather to celebrate Alan’s life, we remember a man who loved fiercely, laughed heartily, and lived fully. His legacy will continue to inspire us to cherish our loved ones, embrace life with humour, and extend kindness to all. Alan Saul Turner may have left this world, but his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him. He will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on through the stories we share and the love we carry forward.
