I've created this page in memory of a loved one.
William Fisher was diagnosed with DIPG (DMG) on June 3rd 2026 and passed away on August 25th 2026. Will was a warrior and fought hard with the tremendous support of his parents, Meagan Cuttle and Andrew Fisher, and his younger brother Ethan.
This aggressive form of brain cancer only affects a small amount of children each year in Canada, so funding is scarce, and the outcomes are grim. We need to help change that. All of our fundraising efforts will be directed to the world class researchers that are doing everything they can to provide better options for kids.
William’s time with us will be cherished, and remembered and we hope that his legacy will be tied to a cure in the years to come. Please support our effort, to push research forward and to provide hope for families that have to take on this fight. I may never have had the opportunity to be William’s educator, but he spent many mornings in my classroom during the YMCA program, and I was fortunate to get to know a little bit of his wonderful personality. William was always so curious and engaged, especially when it came to the sensory bin. He was always interested in trying things out, exploring, and asking questions. I also remember how much he loved talking about the outdoors. His smile was truly contagious and had a way of lighting up the classroom. William will always be remembered and will hold a special place in our hearts. He touched the hearts of so many people, and I feel grateful to have shared those little moments with him.
