I'm Fundraising in Support of SickKids!

Throughout the whole month of March, the Centennial College Paramedic Program student body is hosting this Go Challenge event. As paramedic students, we learn how to navigate the career in and out of the classroom. Occasionally we can encounter cases on the road that lead us to transport a patient to SickKids. It is a privilege to be able to support such a wonderful hospital.

Together we are fundraising money for SickKids by challenging ourselves to be more active and try new things with classmates, friends, and family. We challenge you to complete a fitness activity daily, whether it be running, dancing, yoga, or just walking, and post it on this page. Community is very important, and coming together to support one another is a wonderful thing. SickKids is an amazing hospital that has a very supportive community, and helping them as a community keeps them strong. We are fundraising for SickKids to help them:

DIAGNOSE FASTER
For worried families, this means getting a quicker answer to "What's wrong?"

TREAT SMARTER
Treating underlying causes, not just symptoms, and reducing side effects & relapses—so kids get better sooner.

PREDICT BETTER
See illness coming more clearly—while there’s still time to prevent it or reduce its severity.

Thank you for your support! And have an active March!!

Centennial College Mock Disaster 2026

Monday 9th Mar
Every year during the winter semester, Centennial College holds a Mock Disaster Day. At this unique event, students from the School of Community and Health Studies, including those studying paramedicine, firefighting, and police foundations, can test their abilities in a real-world environment. Every year, the type of disaster varies, but it is always a simulation of a significant, disastrous event. This year it was a wildfire that is approaching Centennial City, causing many to evacuate. There are other events occurring at the same time that need to be attended to as well, such as coordinating emergency services and ensuring the safety of residents in nearby areas. It was a wonderful experience, and everyone had a good time being a part of it.
